This project will function as a highway, on top of which we can later place other [vehicles] to provide new services to the city.

It is an infrastructure that will allow us to start acting in anticipation of events.

These measures aim to reduce energy consumption, but also improve the quality and the municipality’s ability to interact with public spaces. A progressive investment has been made in new LED luminaires with management capabilities, which is expected to be expanded to prioritize more degraded areas in need of revitalization and locations with a quicker return on investment.

We were finally able to light up all the streets in the municipality again and address one of the greatest desires of the population, increasing the sense of security in public spaces, with an innovative, cost-effective and more environmentally friendly solution (…) allowing a significant reduction in the monthly energy bill.

The importance of this project for the municipality centralizes the efforts of various entities around Astro Tourism. All the street lighting in Cumeada has been replaced. In addition to the improved quality of the LED street lighting, a simple smartphone allows the lighting level of the luminaires to be reduced when necessary. It does not interfere with people’s normal life and helps achieve minimal light pollution.

The new bill results in a reduction of the current bill by about 360,000 euros, bringing it down to 120,000 euros annually. After the leasing contract behind this financial investment operation is settled, the municipality will still generate revenue of around 300,000 to 400,000 euros over these 8 years.

This measure implies a profound improvement in the quality of street lighting in terms of energy efficiency. But not only that. The improvement in the public service delivery will reinforce the sense of security and also environmental protection.
