Brazilian municipality of Aparecida equipped with the new ARGUS luminaire from ARQUILED
The project to replace traditional street lighting comes within the framework of an energy efficiency plan implemented by a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) constituted by EDP Brasil and Enerfocus
Traditional street lighting in the municipality of Aparecida, in the interior of the state of S. Paulo, Brazil, was replaced by Arquiled ARGUS luminaires, with the aim of reducing energy consumption by around R$70.000 per month (approximately 14.000 USD).
The participation of Arquiled, as a technological partner, in this PPP carried out by EDP Brazil and Enerfocus, results from the latter having the exclusive representation of Arquiled in the Brazilian market.
The upgrade of 630 traditional light fixtures to LED luminaires covers approximately 50 roads and pathways in Aparecida and represents around 270 MWh/year reduction in energy consumption, the equivalent to the average annual consumption of 110 households.
Known for the Marian Sanctuary Our Lady da Conceição Aparecida, patron saint of Brazil, the city of Aparecida becomes the first globally to be equipped with the latest ARGUS luminaires.
