Arquiled launches ECCOS SUN management system for the Latin American market
The new product of the ECCOS management and remote management line is a street lighting control system specific for shared power grids and is made already available in Latin American countries.
ECCOS SUN, the latest member of ARQUILED’s line of street lighting control solutions, was made by design to the Colombian market, but is also compatible with the entire Latin American as the optimum response to control street lighting fixtures in shared power grids.
Shared Street Lighting Power Grids
Turning on and off the street lighting fixtures is a seemingly simple task, as long as the power grids are dedicated. However, when they evolved in a shared circuit philosophy, it is necessary to add a “switch” to each luminaire to control its operating cycle.
Unfortunately, this “switch”, materialized in a photo sensor attached externally to the luminaire, is much less robust than the luminaire and is exposed not only to adverse weather conditions, but also to voltage spikes that convert this element, despite the low cost , in the biggest headache of the concessionaires and municipalities responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of the street lighting infrastructure, because they often have to clean it or replace it.
This is a reality for the entire American continent.
ECCOS SUN solution
Aware of the high operating costs of street lighting networks based on shared power grids, Arquiled developed ECCOS SUN, which allows not only to eliminate all costs with acquisition, labor and lifting means to carry out maintenance or replacement of photocells, but also to improve the functioning of the power grids, which will have an improved power factor and the luminaires will automatically switch on and off in the same second.
ECCOS SUN, is part of the ECCOS family of street lighting management and remote management products and is already available in Latin American countries.
Here is a summary of the system’s benefits:
- Substantial reduction in maintenance costs for street lighting infrastructure;
- Eliminates malfunctions for other reasons, such as weather and light reflections;
- Automatic regulation of the luminous flux (dimming) at night, increasing the life span of the luminaire and boosting energy savings;
- It does not affect the aesthetics of the luminaire as it is embedded in the interior;
- Has the same warranty applied to the luminaire.
