MORA MUNICIPALITY

The project of upgrading the street lighting of Mora with LED technology is part, of the extended energy efficiency plan for street lighting, held by the Intermunicipal Community of Alentejo Central (CIMAC), for all 14 municipalities in the district of Évora, and which involved the replacing and updating more than 50 thousand traditional light fixtures with LED luminaires.

With the main purpose of reducing energy consumption above 70%, the project also involved other concerns, such as the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and light pollution. To this end, more than half of the luminaires incorporate point-to-point management technologies, which allow luminous flux regulation according to customized profiles, and the remaining luminaires are prepared to be able to have remote management when necessary.
