The project of Tomar Municipality is an absolute pioneer in Portugal for smart street lighting - it covers the entire county with about 14 thousand new luminaires connected via LoRaWAN®.communications and a centrally managed through an IoT platform and Artificial Intelligence.
Within the scope of energy efficiency management, four pilot monitoring projects were also implemented:
-Air quality;
-Water quality of the Nabão River;
-Flood levels of the river;
-The use and loss of water in the fire hydrants.
